Daily Dose: Cope2 & Indie in town, TA, Stinky's, strung up teddy bears, and everything else in between

This daily dose thing is not as easy as it may appear. Especially when I walk 10K and flick a tonne of updates. But I'm trying to keep up as much as possible. So please bear with me. Odd side note right off the bat: I got this weird side photo thing with abandoned teddy bears and dolls. Yeah, weird, I know. But I find them wherever I go and they seemingly move around after people do stuff to them. Anyway, I've got as bunch of shots locked away somewhere and I'll eventually do a special post. Here's the recent addition to the teddy bear Golgotha that I've collected from the TA Factory. Someone strung them up too. Poor bastards. Here's a bunch of shots from the past week, and a couple from the last month or so.

I didn't do much trekking about this weekend but I was out a bit last week to follow up on a little gossip going around the town and to get that last end of the summer feel from the streets. Although Can You Rock was canceled, it looks like Senk, Sniper, Scien, Klor, along with Cope2 & Indie (who were in town) decided to grace the walls off of Cabot Street with a nice production to pay hommage to the spot. Solid production too, deep colors and the always fine lettering by some of Montreal's finest and company.

To be honest though, I didn't pass through looking for that wall, although is was really nice to have come across it. It was a precisely executed production and a nice collab. I was there to document some cross outs by Cope2 on a couple of local names. Whatever the issue, he felt it necessary to not just cross them out, but to make a  post of it on his blog on 12 Oz Prophet. You can check it here. He says that he's rocking on some Montreal toys. Interesting to say the least, and predictably the start to another beef that will escalate in the coming future. Whatever the beef, whatever the history, I hope  these gents work it out and no real bullshit comes out of it. But hey, I just document. So here's my shots of the cross out at the spot from last year.

I also got the chance to stop through the TA Wall and Factory area, and good ol' Stinky's. Noticed soime tunneling and rope ladders at the scene, heard soem activity inside, but didn't have the time to get all down and dirty. Soon. Really liked the collab by Five8, Dyer, and Quiz at the TA Wall too, positive creations going on there. I'll have more from St. Henri and TA soon too.

More Soon. Stay posted.

Daily Dose: Plateau Shots

So here are a fe random shots from the other day, caught a nice Labrona paste on my way to my buddy's place to move him and a few other things. The nice weather is back in effect for a little before fall moves on in so you can't go wrong with sidewalk chilling. There are some rooftop spots I've been watching for a little bit, sharpening my knives and gettign ready to flick them proper but it just seems like the timing and conditions are never right. In any case I hope to get them soon and drop another mad rooftop edition at some point. In any case check these fwe flicks for now and more to come soon.

 More soon, lots more soon.

Daily Dose: PSC Tracks

Took a walk along the PSC tracks after work and caught a few nice shots, some old, some new. Dre & Five8 pulled off a nice roller in a solid location. Not a long walk, just a short dip before I headed back home. Things have been busy, some upcoming shows to prepare for, Osheaga and then Under Pressure. Next we got Can You Rock coming up the first weekend of September. I'm trying to get back into gear for my PhD research on top of everything else so I've just been stockpiling flicks. I'm going to leak a bit every day and give a daily dose of what I come across.

 More soon.

Rooftop Edition: Vol 2

I got the chance to flick a few more rooftops at the beginning of the month. I wanted to lock down a couple of spots along St Caths, particularly above Sex Cite and Super Sex. I was able to get up above Super Sex, but the rooftop above Sex Cite required a little more foot work and the shitty boots, wind, and ice didn't make for the best combination for a rooftop escapade. In any case I think I got me some pretty solid shots of the area. The last time I went up was easily a few years ago so it was nice to get re-aquainted with that upper part of the city.

Again, these are shots only from a few select locations in and around St Caths and St Laurent. I know there are plenty of spots out there, and believe me, I'll get to them in time. And when I do I will most definitely be posting them up here. I tossed in a couple from TA too, for the RIPs to Mitch and Dylan. And some of these aren't really rooftops, but they are close enough, high up at the top of stairwells and such. Regardless, if it's high up there, it's gonna get represented.

Lots of nice stuff up there too, some of it going back easily a few years. There were some shots I wasn't able to fit into the last rooftop post so I threw them into the mix here  which is why some of these shots look from a few months back. These are some great spots with cool views of the city and streets too. Here are the rest of my most recent rooftop shots.

I got some juicy stuff from the streets and some goodies from the vault to let out so stay posted. I also attended the Monk-e exhibit at Sino Shop on Friday night so I'll be posting on that shortly.
